Reduced Library hours Effective July 5, 2011

Due to a reduction in budget and staffing, as approved by the City Council on June 21, 2011, the Santa Maria Main Public Library has reduced its operation to 48 hours per week from 60 hours per week. The Library will remain open six days a week.

New Main Library hours are from noon to 8:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Additionally, the Library will continue to be closed the third Friday of every month in 2012, in accordance with the Mandatory Time Off program (MTO or otherwise known as furlough days). The exception is the month of December; the Library will be closed on December 14th and December 24th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
